Get It Done Week: Untangling Children’s Books

If you’re anything like me, you’re forever signing up for awesome courses and masterclasses online – and then not actually completing them.

I do this ALL THE TIME. Ugh, what a waste of money!

That’s why I’m hosting my first Get It Done Week for Untangling Children’s Books: Middle Grade and YA Explained and I’m so excited.

This is a free week-long challenge open to anybody who has registered for the Untangling Children’s Books course (you can still sign up now!).

Fed up of spending money on courses but not getting any value from them because you just don’t have the time to watch all the videos and implement the advice?

Join me for this Get It Done Week and finally complete your Untangling Children’s Books course and put the recommendations and ideas into practice straight away so you can start getting your own novel written!

🎉 How it works

The Get It Done Week will be live from Monday 3rd February to Sunday 9th February. 

1) Log in to Untangling Children’s Books and complete the course (watch the videos, take the quizzes, soak up all the kidlit gold dust!) – or register if you haven’t already

2) Fill in the Get It Done Week form at the end of the course to put your learning into practice. There are two forms, depending on where you are in your writing journey:

• • • If you’re working on a children’s book project of your own, you’ll fill in form 1 and answer some questions about your story, ultimately deciding whether it’s middle grade or young adult
    • If you’re not writing yet and just want to learn more about the kidlit market, you’ll fill in form 2, focusing on a published novel and looking for clues as to the age group it’s written for

3) Join the private Wolf Pack Facebook group for Writer and the Wolf clients and students where you can discuss the course and ask questions (this isn’t required)

4) If you want to, you can post a pitch or summary of your work in progress in the Facebook group and I’ll respond with whether I think it sounds like middle grade or young adult (or neither!)

5) Everybody who submits the form by Sunday 9th February will receive a huge £50 Wolf Credit to spend on anything at Writer and the Wolf, including courses and editing. You can combine this with any credit you’ve already earned. You’ll also get a shout-out in next month’s newsletter 🙂

– Start working your way through the course (you don’t have to wait until 3rd Feb)
– Put the Get It Done Week in your calendar so you don’t forget to complete the challenge

Q. Do I have to wait until 3rd February to join the challenge?

A. No! The form is live now so if you want to get started early, go for it.

Q. How and when will I get my £50 credit?

A. If you fill in the form via the course page by the midnight (UK time) on Sunday 9th February, you’ll earn £50 Wolf Credit which can be spent on anything at Writer and the Wolf within a year. When I receive your form, I’ll add the credit to your pot within 7 days. You can ask for your total or spend credit any time by emailing me.
