Editing can be intimidating. Handing your manuscript over to somebody online and saying ‘tell me what you think and don’t hold back’ is hella scary!
I myself am a delicate little soul who does not cope well with criticism of any kind (I blame my mum for always telling me I was brilliant at everything) so I put those feelings into my editing. My feedback and suggestions are always as kind and encouraging as I can possibly make them. I’ll give my honest opinion about your work and I won’t leave out the important stuff just to be nice, but I won’t break your spirit while I do it! I will never, ever send you an editorial letter that only talks about the problems: I load every report with praise and heart emojis for the stuff you’ve done brilliantly.
In my business, my goal is to make the entire process as lovely and empowering as possible for you, from your first enquiry to the final project delivery, and beyond to follow-up support, check-ins and chat in the private Facebook group.
It’s common to fall out of love a bit with your story after receiving lots of feedback and realising there’s still work to do — I’ve been there many times.
But it’s my number one wish that you walk away from our project feeling super confident and excited for the future.
